HARD ROCK

KLINGMANN collaborated with Gensler in New York to amalgamate the legendary Hard Rock brand with a large-scale residential development in Las Vegas.

Hard Rock International began to "Save the Planet" long before the environment became a widely supported cause. Due to it’s interesting mix of hotel guests, which includes an eclectic mix of famous musicians, mainstream celebrities, sub-culture B-personalities, hipsters, bikers, and wannabe’s, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is perceived as a cult destination. The design team’s task was to bring this cult status and unique lifestyle profile into the planning of a large-scale residential community. KLINGMANN translated the core values of the Hard Rock brand into a distinct masterplanning concept, which integrates elements of wellness and sustainability as well as residential ecotowers powered by renewable energy sources.
